When
The National Museums of Scotland
purpose built the Museum of Scottish Country Life the information and directional
signage had to answer a complex brief.
The austerity of the new building, accessibility best practice and curatorial
policy had to be respected and costs had to be tightly controlled. The acreage
of the site and seasonal signage variations added to the brief.
Mixing craft traditions of the countryside with more conventional museum panels,
we respected the ethos and the budget.
